1.1 Admission to a program United Computer is based on eligibility norms as defined from time to time. However, eligibility is no guarantee for admission.
2.0 METHODOLOGY, SCHEDULES & ATTENDANCE :
2.1 The medium of instruction for all courses in English and/or Bengali.
2.2 Each session of instruction practice is normally of 2 hours duration, unless otherwise specified.
2.3 Each course has deliverable which are communicated to the student. The student’s continuing and participant interest in the education and allied processes is integral to fulfilling these deliverables satisfactorily.
2.4 Assignments, practice exercises, projects, seminars etc. may be assigned to groups of students as determined by the batch co-ordinator/faculty. For machine exercises, student groups will be allowed fixed alots of computer time within which they expected to finish assigned exercises of projects.
2.5 The students is expected to maintain 100% attendance for all session scheduled for the batch in order to get the full benefit of the program. However, the student should discuss the implications of any absence that cannot be avoided, with the co-ordinator/faculty, and work out plan of corrective action well in advance. The minimum attendance must be 75%.
2.6 Student parents/guardians may be informed in case of irregularity of attendance. Dropout rules will apply if there is continuous absence of 7 consecutive classes without prior notice.
3.0 CERTIFICATION :
3.1 The student’s overall performance in program is arrived at, as an aggregate of his/her overall performance in each semester/assessments and module tests, and is recorded in the institutes record book.
3.2 The student would not be awarded any Certification/Diploma in case of any outstanding dues from the student.
4.0 LAIBRARY FACILITY :
4.1 Student can avail the library facility, available at centre by depositing the Library Fees.
4.2 Students are required to abide by the rules of the library, available with the librarian/in-charge/academic.
4.3 Students who are members of the library can borrow only one book at a time for duration as stipulated by the librarian. Applicable fines will be levied if the book is not returned within the book is not returned within the specified period. In that case a sum of Rs. 1/- will charged per day.
4.4 Loss or multilation of a book should the penalties as may be deemed fit by the centre authority.
5.0 FEE & OTHER DETAILS :
5.1 Any candidates enrolling for a program at United Computer has to pay the flowing fee:
a) Applicable admission fee
b) Applicable development fee
c) Applicable caution deposite (optional) fees for library.
d) Monthly tution fee.
5.2 A grace period is granted up to the day (previous working day in case 10th is a holiday) of the month to pay the installment due. No late fee is charged during the grace period. Students who fail to pay their installments by the 10th of the month will be charged a sum of Rs.20/- as late fee up to and inclusive of the 15th of month (previous working day if 15th is a holiday). Thereafter, the late charge are Rs.30 for next 10 days.
5.3 A student whose installment payments are not made up-to-date on the 25th of the month (previous working day if 25th is a holiday) will be treated a fee defaulter and automatically stuck off the rolls. Such a student will not be allowed to avail any services of the centre.
5.4 All fees are payable by Cash/DD.
5.5 However, the dropout student can seek re-admission. For re-admission a student has to make a written application to the centre In-charge/administrator explaining the appropriate reasons for non payment. The centre in-charge/Administrator, if satisfied with the explanation, may section re-installment. In such case, the applicants re-admission and a late fee will be payable in addition to the installment(s) due.
6.0 CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION :
6.1 A student admission would be cancelled automatically if the student becomes a Fee defaulter.
6.2 Non adherence to norms of discipline and decorum within the college premises can lead to a student’s admission being cancelled and further may lead to the United Computer centre’s refusing to grant re-admission to that particular student to the United Computer center.
